Christmas is a time for giving - and topping the pop charts.
And that is exactly what we intend to do at Nottingham Rugby Club.
I have been producing my fair share of videos while I have been injured so I am came up with the idea that we, as a club, should do a Christmas video.
It's still in the planning stage but it's gaining momentum and is a definite case of "watch this space". I have taken my favourite Christmas song of all time “Fairytale of New York” and changed the lyrics to make them reflect all that is good about Nottingham Rugby Club.
Our lyrics tell the tale of where Nottingham RFC is now as a club and our prospects for the future.
It's quite good - if I do say so myself.
For the role of singers I have enlisted two of the best voices in the Midlands.
Ayoola Erinle can hold a tune and he will sing the words of Shane McGowan, while one of our younger players, Joe Munroe, has the voice of an angel and, as a result, sings the words of Kirsty MacColl.
The choruses will be sung by the rest of us at the club who wanted to get involved.
I believe we have something special and our goal is nothing less than to be Christmas No.1.
Some of the boys at Nottingham didn’t want to get involved and that is fair enough.
But for those of us that have, we are getting very excited.
I will keep you updated.
