Hoot had by rugby calendar boys

The Nottingham Rugby Calendar has been an absolute hoot to be involved with.

There is always plenty of banter floating around and, although the guys pretend they are not interested in the results, I promise you that the majority of them cannot wait to see what their picture looks like.

As usual ladies, or men if you are that way inclined, there is something to flutter the fancy of every rugby fan, whatever your sort.

If you like a bit of rough, then Matt Parr is your man. He is probably the most ripped prop in world rugby and has a tattoo of a Viking across his chest.

Blokes like me obviously appeal across the ages!

While the real heart-throbs of the club are the Cobden brothers, Jack and Joe. Damn their good looks!

We had the pictures taken in and around Meadow Lane, in the kitchen, on the bar or the pitch.

We also went to lug some beer barrels about after teaming up with Castle Rock Breweries and they produced some cracking photos.

Because we had to come up with the ideas of the photos ourselves, some of the boys needed nudging in the right direction, as you can imagine.

So me and Finlay Barnham were self-appointed ‘creative directors’ for the day and there are plenty of the boys appearing in the calendar after it was decided that nobody was big enough to have their own month and that a minimum of two people had to be in every shot.

On the pitch, it’s our Big Day Out this Sunday for our game against newly-promoted Jersey at Meadow Lane.

Youngsters will be allowed through the gates for £1 and adults ticket prices have been slashed down to as little as £6.

It’s also Ladies Day which means that we will be wearing our very fetching pink kit for one game only.

After posing for a calendar, wearing a pink kit should be a doddle.
