It’s a great feeling to be in the top four of the Aviva Premiership table after our win over Bath.
The nature of the victory made it better too as we pulled away in the closing stages to win 29-15 in the end.
The task for us now, is to stay there. When we get back to league action in four weeks’ time, we have some big games against those sides above, and just below us, in quick succession.
They will be big tests of just how good a side we are.
We are not surprised by where we are because we didn’t set any goals at the start of the season saying where we could or could not finish.
But it is a nice feeling and, within the camp, we know there is a lot more to come from us too.
Combinations are just starting to flourish and guys are getting more and more used to each other’s games.
The difference from last season is incredible and I genuinely believe that we would have lost the games against Bath and London Welsh, the week before, back then.
We are definitely moving in the right direction and we are starting to click.
I am really pleased for our supporters too and they are started to come back through the turn styles to watch us.
That shows we are starting to win back some of our fans. We lost their trust last season and they felt they had been let down on and off the pitch.
The reaction we have had to our winning home run on social media networks has been encouraging too.
Not only are things looking good in the league, we are also still in with a shout of an LV= Cup semi-final and we now move into the Amlin Cup over the next two weeks in charge of our pool.
If we can get a bonus point win over Mogliano at home this weekend, we will in great shape to go through to the last eight.
There’s a really good feel around the camp and the boys are enjoying it.
But the really hard work, starts now.
